By replacing traditional air cooling with liquid heat exchange, they provide mounting, power supply, and efficient thermal management for IT equipment within the cabinet, serving as a core infrastructure component of next-generation green data centers. The model shown in the figure is a cold-plate liquid‑cooled cabinet; its enclosure features structural reinforcement, and it is equipped with tiered rack trays, piping interfaces, and door‑control components, capable of supporting 19‑inch standard liquid‑cooled servers.
Working principle
Using built-in manifolds and quick‑connect fluid fittings, the insulating coolant is delivered to the server cold plates. The coolant makes direct contact with high‑power chips such as GPUs and CPUs, rapidly removing heat and returning to the CDU (Cooling Distribution Unit) for heat exchange and temperature reduction, thereby enabling continuous cooling.
